Stainless Steel

Stainless steel is a group of steels that are corrosion and high temperature resistant. They have a strong resistant to it as they have a chromium-rich oxide film which is added to their surface. Normal steel often gets a brown iron oxide(rust) on their surface once it comes into contact with water. However, the improved stainless steel does not. Two key factors are the fact that stainless steel has thermal conductivity and thermal expansion rate. Stainless steels have lower thermal conductivity that normal carbon steels and higher thermal expansion rates. Stainless steel is a commonly used metal used in a variety of consumer goods such as kitchenware and tableware. It is also used in building and construction, food and beverage industry, transportation and many others. Stainless steel is often recycled from scrap stainless steel as it is highly recyclable and can be recycles easily without losing its quality.
